Mermaid Zippy is a North Carolina-based mermaid. Her mermaid journey began in 2023 while she was touring with a popular ice show, and she needed a fun way to stay in shape while on the road. After her time with the tour ended she began connecting with other merfolk and learning more about mermaiding, eventually earning her PADI Mermaid Instructor certification in 2025. She aims to make mermaiding and water safety more accessible, promote environmental education, and encourage a love of learning.
